LHB has an immediate opportunity for an Accounts Payable- Billing Specialist to join our Finance team. The position will be based in our Duluth or Minneapolis, Minnesota office.

Position Summary

The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:

• Accounts Payable processing
• General bookkeeping duties
• Employee expense report review and processing
• Assist in 1099 processing and vendor W9 compliance
• Customer invoicing and revenue recognition
• Project set-up in ERP, manage billing terms, and input and maintain project budgets
• Manage sub consultant fees
• Sales journal preparation using ASC 606 Standard for Revenue from contracts with customers
• Sales/Use tax review and reporting
• Assist in entries for month end close
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Five years of relevant experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Effective and professional communication skills to internal and external clients
• Demonstrated Microsoft Office skills with proficiency in Excel
• Ability to work independently and be a contributing member of a team
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or finance
• Billing experience in service/construction industry
• Demonstrated auditing abilities
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and math skills
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret contract for professional service

Salary Range:

This position’s anticipated base salary range is $44,100- $58,800 annually (This position is eligible for year-end bonus & profit sharing, as well as overtime pay for hours that exceed 40 in a work week). Offer will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
